Sunday was quarterfinal day at International Polo Club Palm Beach, and eight teams fought for a place in the next stage of the Ylvisaker Cup, the last 20-goal tournament of the IPC season. Tonkawa, Colorado, Valiente and GSA won their matches and will play the semis.
The Ylvisaker Cup, third tournament of the 20-goal season at International Polo Club Palm Beach, continued this weekend with four matches. A new 'Sunday Game’ saw Colorado claim their second victory in the competition after defeating Prestige Worldwide.
During the last 5 days the Ylvisaker Cup has been in the center of the atention around world, 8 matches were played: Pilot 13 - Audi 11; SD Farms 10 - La Indiana 7; Carillon Miami 10 - Prestige Worldwide 8; Tonkawa 12 - GSA 7; Valiente 10 - Coca Cola 6:, Postage Stamp Farm 12 - Travieso 11.
Undefeated teams Tonkawa and Modere met Sunday, January 28, to decide the winner of the 2018 Joe Barry Cup and settle the score at the International Polo Club Palm Beach inWellington, Florida. Although Modere played with renewed energy and strategy in the second half, Tonkawa’s unity proved insurmountable and they rode away with the title 12-9.
The Ylvisaker Cup draw is ready and the tournament will start on Thursday February 1st at the International Polo Club. Adolfo Cambiaso, Facundo Pieres, Hilario Ulloa, Sapo Caset will take part of Valiente, Pilot, Modere and Tonkawa respectively.
Modere and Tonkawa will play the Joe Barry Cup Final on Sunday 28 at IPC. Both teams won their semis games on Wednesday, Modere def Coca Cola 10-6 and Tonkawa beat La Indiana 17-9.
After a full day of polo in the Joe Barry Cup at International Polo Club Palm Beach on Sunday 21 Modere, Tonkawa, and La Indiana got the place into the Semifinals and Coca Cola won the shootout on Monday against Travieso going into the semis too.
This weekend The Joe Barry Cup showed good matches and after polo at IPC, where La Indiana, Modere and Colorado got the win.
