After taking the early lead in the final of the 2015 Cartier Queen´s Cup at the Guards Polo club Sunday afternoon, the King Power Foxes trailed Dubai for three chukkers before a late rally ended regulation play in a 10-10 tie and allowed Facundo Pieres to score the winning goal in overtime, 11-10.
With high-scoring players on the field the like of Facundo Pieres, Gonzalito Pieres, Sapo Caset and Polito Pieres you would have thought that Wednesday’s opening Queens Cup semifinal would have been a scoring bonanza, but such was not the case.

Sheikha Maitha Al Maktoum has yet to make an appearance in a game this high-goal season but it doesn’t seem to be affecting her UAE Polo Team’s success. After routing a powerful Dubai team, 16-13, they knocked off VPS Healthcare Sifani, Monday afternoon at the Guards Polo Club, 12-10.

King Power scored their first win of the season as the second round of play in the 2015 Queens Cup got underway on Saturday afternoon.
The UAE Polo Team faced a powerful Dubai lineup, Thursday morning on the Highfield Farm field and came out on top, 6-13 in the upset of the day.
Although team captain and patron Sheikha Maitha Al Maktoum didn’t participate in her team’s Queens Cup opener, she was ably replaced by young Jose Araya (son of Pepe Araya) who scored six of the team’s sixteen goals on the day.
A confident King Power team galloped onto the pitch at Billingbear Park where they scored the first three goals of the game against a respectable El Remanso lineup for the early 3-0 lead.
